A happy ending (true Story)
One With Happy Ending
I was 10 yrs old and was just out running around the neighborhood one Sunday morning. None of the other kids were out at the time and I seemed to have the neighborhood to myself. Before too long I felt the need to go to the bathroom but was quite far from my house. At least 2 blocks away. This was not good as I had a history of daytime accidents besides being a bed wetter.
By the time I got to my house the need to use the bathroom was quite urgent and I didn't think I could hold it much longer. I was shocked to find the door locked and a note on the door: "At the store. Be back soon. Mom."
I started knocking anyway and calling to please let me in, hoping she had already returned and just hadn't removed the note yet. It was no use. I couldn't get in and I was afraid I'd have another accident. And half the people in the neighborhood probably heard me!
From behind me I heard one of the older ladies in the neighborhood ask if I was alright. (Now, I think it was obvious to her what the problem was. She knew I was the little boy with "the problem") I said I had to go to the bathroom but my mom was out. She said, "Oh dear! Come and use mine. Hurry!"
Sadly, by the time we got to her house I had gone some much of it. Fortunately it was not a very large amount but still enough to be quite embarrassing. I started to cry, and apologize all over the place.
To my relief she started comforting me, told me everything would be alright, and to finish up in the bathroom. Then she had me hand her my wet clothes and told me to put on a towel while she threw my stuff in the washer and dryer.
I was wary of taking my clothes off but scared of going home in wet pants and possibly getting punished. She even gave me milk and cookies. When I was dressed in clean clothes again she said she wouldn't tell anyone what had happened and I went on my way.
A bad story with a happy ending.
